Putting on a show...

17th May 2014, 20:00, Salle Boris Vian (Maison de la Culture) in Clermont-Ferrand. After several months of silence, Alvaro made his return to the stage following his Nouvelle Star 2014 adventure. This 21 year-old Auvergnat, quarter-finalist in the tenth season of the famous telereality show, has captivated audiences with his talent and originality. He has dropped out of Law school to start an artistic career…

This evening, thirteen high-school pupils from Massillon are proudly watching the room fill up. For the past year, they have met up every Thursday afternoon to work on the project of bringing Alvaro back to Clermont-Ferrand. Organizing a show is less easy than it sounds: we worked on the communication, the paperwork, financing the event, the management aspects, etc.

And it has all been for a good cause! We have given all the profits to the charity Partir et Agir which works for the education of children in New Delhi.

From our first meeting with the artist, there has been real energy and cohesion in the group. We have in common our desire to “save the world!”

It’s 20:30, the lights fade and the concert begins. For two hours, the young singer goes over his repertory. His varied interpretations, from Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits to Amanda Miguel, win over the public. The atmosphere is friendly and the anecdotes about his experience on the show make us smile. This is definitely a success. What’s next for our events team?!
